Faith in God
I get a sense from some Christians that true faith is a matter of having the right answers. Wherever they get that, it isn’t from the Bible. Whoever believes Jesus has life. Faith is that simple.
Evidence of following Jesus is seen in acts that show love for neighbor. The apostle Paul says this, “For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14:17 NLT).” Jesus made it very clear that love for the least of these is the kingdom of God.
True faith has compassion toward the poor, and the outcast, and even the aliens who live in our land. Our fasting and our prayers are meaningless if we oppress people like these. Let’s stop testing faith with doctrine and show love to all people with goodness, and peace, and joy. What do you say?
